About Me

Hi, my name is Jonathan Minquiz. Im a 16 year old junior at Leuzinger High School. I am a photographer and a musician, with skills in creative media. 

I currently work with MCA Productions, a student-led enterprise at Leuzinger High School, taking photos of school events, performances, school sports. Outside of MCA, I have experience in taking photos for sports league, such as the Lawndale Little League, and being the digital media coordinator for Mariachi Alma Juvenil. As their digital media coordinator, I photographed performances, promoted upcoming events, and ran the social media accounts. 

Before becoming a photographer, I was, and continue to be, a musician. My musical journey began in middle school, where I learned marching percussion and trumpet and joined Mariachi Alma Juvenil in the spring of 7th grade. In high school, I continued performing on quads and trumpet while also teaching myself French horn.

My goals for the very near future is to march Drum Corps International, although I'm debating whether to do trumpet, mellophone, or quads, and farther future is to attend a 4 year university with a good Music school, and a marching band to continue there, then become a music teacher for a high school.
